San Diego Community College District faced several challenges like the lack of cost-savings and a tight timeline within which they needed to implement their large-scale migration. They were also impacted by complex infrastructure, which brought a concern for data loss during migration as they had sensitive student data. They also needed to optimize their network and security systems.

Astute created a comprehensive and thorough strategy highlighting the migration, disaster recovery planning, performance scalability and user transparency processes. All of the requirements were addressed through a robust disaster recovery capability, migration of servers, rebuilding the servers and training to ensure that the SDCCD team can ensure smooth operations and maintenance of the new infrastructure.

Through the project, SDCCD implemented an enormous transformation by bringing operational efficiency, cost-savings and enhanced service delivery. Frederick Community College

Frederick Community College operates in the education industry. The organization faced a significant challenge of investing in high costs and not getting optimum support from Platform as a Service (PaaS). They also were running within a tight timeline of a six-month window after which their certifications and licenses were going to expire.

The solution was a disruption-free migration to OCI to optimize FCC's finances. Astute planned to build servers from scratch to cut down on rackware migration license costs. We addressed all the other concerns of FCC by leveraging OCI benefits such as OSMS patching alerts, vulnerability scanning, and cloud advisor for cost analysis monitoring.

By the time the project culminated, FCC was able to achieve a successful and seamless migration to OCI with reduced downtime, enhanced security and business continuity.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority, New York

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority, New York, is responsible for the public transportation of 12 Downstate New York countries and 2 southwestern Connecticut countries. With a workload of over 11 million passengers on average weekdays, they were using obsolete manual testing of PeopleSoft application pillars like FSCM, HCM, ELM and EPM.

Due to this, their test cycles were longer than required, and they could not retrieve the metrics required for making impactful business decisions.

Astute kickstarted the project by implementing JumpStart to manage the test cycles in a more automated way to utilize the resources better. Post this, we also implemented the FasTest- Astute’ test automation solution for PeopleSoft that overcomes the limitations of PTF features. MTA also benefited from Astute’s managed services. At the end of the project, MTA achieved an enhanced user experience, automated testing, access to real-time data, and many more business requirements.
